The Envy Girl Experience 2026 💕 Confidence, Catwalks & a Whole Lot of Fun
On Saturday 29th August, we welcomed a group of amazing young women through the doors of Envy Gowns for something very special – The Envy Girl Experience 2026.
And what a day it was! 💕
The Envy Girl Experience was created to give young women aged 16–21 the opportunity to step into the world of Envy, try something new, build their confidence and get a little taste of what it’s like to model and create content with us.
But most importantly? We wanted it to be fun, friendly and completely pressure-free.
Bringing the Envy Girls Back
For many years, our Envy Girls have been a huge part of the Envy Gowns story.
Over the years, girls who first walked through our doors as prom customers have gone on to model in our photoshoots, walk in our fashion shows, appear in magazines, sign with modelling agencies and create some incredible memories with us.
After taking a break from our modelling events, we knew that when we brought the Envy Girl experience back, we wanted to do things a little differently.
This wasn't about finding the tallest girl.
It wasn't about finding the most experienced model.
And it definitely wasn't about being "perfect".
We wanted to meet girls with personality, kindness, confidence – or even girls who simply wanted the opportunity to find a little more confidence.
And that is exactly what happened.
What Happened at the Envy Girl Experience?
Throughout the afternoon, the girls took part in a series of mini workshops designed to give them an introduction to modelling, posing and creating content.
👠 Runway Tutorial
Of course, we couldn't have an Envy Girl day without a catwalk!
The girls learned some of the basics of runway walking, from posture and pace to turns and how to walk confidently in heels.
Some arrived already loving the catwalk, while others had never walked in front of a group before – and watching everyone's confidence grow throughout the session was one of our favourite parts of the day.
📸 How to Pose
Modelling a prom dress isn't just about standing and smiling at the camera.
We worked through different poses, how to create movement, what to do with your hands and – importantly for us – how to show off all the gorgeous details of a gown.
The girls quickly discovered that sometimes the smallest change can completely transform a photograph.
📱 Content Creation
Social media has changed so much about the modelling world, so content creation was an important part of the experience too.
The girls learned some of our favourite tips for creating short-form video content before having the chance to get creative themselves.
There was lots of filming, laughing, retaking clips and, naturally, plenty of content for the camera roll!
💕 Modelling With Confidence
This was probably one of the most important parts of the whole day.
Confidence doesn't always mean being the loudest person in the room.
Sometimes it's introducing yourself to a group of people you've never met.
Sometimes it's walking down a catwalk when you're nervous.
Sometimes it's standing in front of a camera when you're used to hiding from it.
We wanted every girl to leave knowing that you don't have to walk into the room feeling completely confident – sometimes confidence comes from simply being brave enough to give something a go.
More Than Just Modelling
One of our biggest hopes for the Envy Girl Experience was that it wouldn't feel like a competition.
There was no crown.
No winner.
No "best model".
Instead, we wanted the girls to encourage one another, make new friends and enjoy being part of something together.
Seeing girls who hadn't met before cheering each other on, chatting between sessions and helping each other throughout the afternoon was exactly the atmosphere we'd hoped to create.
For us, that's what being an Envy Girl should be about.
Young, fun, sweet, confident and – above everything else – kind. 💗
So… What's Next for the Envy Girls?
The Experience Day might be over, but this is only the beginning.
Some of the girls we met will now have opportunities to get involved with Envy Gowns throughout the year, including photoshoots, content days, special events and fashion shows.
And you'll be seeing some familiar faces very soon…
Our next big event is the Envy Gowns Prom Fashion Show, where a selection of our Envy Girls will take to the runway wearing some of our incredible Prom 2027 collection.
We cannot wait to watch them do it.
